No, this muthafucka just didn’t land on my almuada like that? Shit could have happened in the middle of the night, son. I’m scurrrred. But I’m also hungry, so bring it.
John Mayer - Slow Dancing in a Burning Room
I was the one you always dreamed of,
You were the one I tried to draw.
How dare you say it’s nothing to me?
Baby, you’re the only light I ever saw.
We’re going down,
And you can see it too.
We’re going down,
And you know that we’re doomed.
My dear,
We’re slow dancing in a burning room.
It is officially too damn cold in Los Angeles. But no need to worry, time to resurrect those San Marcos blankets from the closet.
that you think is the shit and then it gets like 2 plays and no one likes it? And then you start wondering whether you’re tripping and are getting all worked up for a stupid song or just people are just listening more and more to Adam Lambert, All Time Low, Millionaires and less and less of actual good music. I don’t need my tumblarity to bump up, I just need to know that people still like solid great fuckin’ music. C’mon people, wassamatta?
The Beatles - Golden Slumbers/Carry The Weight (Take 13)
Golden slumbers fill your eyes
Smiles awake you when you rise
Sleep pretty darling do not cry
And I will sing a lullabye
for my sweet strangefruit

Oh, you mean Morrissey.
“If your work is not finished, blame it on the computer”
How is THAT a fortune? Since when did Fortune Cookies start getting replaced with Excuse Cookies? I don’t like where this is headed. The new pineapple spicy chicken item at Panda is pretty bomb though.
this happens all the time to me.
Someone posts a youtube video. I hover the mouse over it and the little preview thing starts showing. I think “Geezus, this just looks fuckin retarted.” Then I watch it. Pretty much every single damn time. I talk shit all the time about these lil’ asian kids who are “phenomenal” guitar players and then I go ahead and view them. I don’t get it. Although, had it not been for this behavior I would have never stumpled upon the “sittin’ on da toilet” video. That lady deserves an award of some sort.
Hung out with my best friend tonight. A lot of people have best friends they see every day or every other. Believe it or not, I hadn’t seen this dude in like a month. We’re busy people. He’s out there making the streets safer and I’m over here shipping music out to people. Sometimes, simple things like that can keep two dudes who love each other from hanging out to just talk about life. Tonight, we did that. I had pushed him away a few days ago (even on my birthday) cause I felt being around really close people who I can be my complete self was too tough. Too easy for me to break down and expose my hurt. Being around new people, I keep my head high and my composure at a “just be cool” level although I really missed those super close to me. I think he knows but he may not know how much his friendship means to me. He always reminds me how it’s been over 15 years since we became bros. I’m 27 and that is over half of my life. In a way, he keeps me grounded. Brings me down to reality in a world where shit has the potential to get positive if I just try even though my stubbornness refuses to comply. The dude who’ll let me know that I’m a rad dude no matter what. My eyes outside of the box. I’ve been in such a deep rut these past days. The King of Sorrow. A much needed session with Oscar was desperately needed and he knew how to get me to open up cause he brought over a sixer of Bass Ale. “This is a tasty ass beer, nigga. You can just taste all the fuckin flavors.” He was right, that shit was on spot. Anyways, I’m too tired to really go on any deeper on my night. I guess in a way I just wanted to make sure he knows I appreciate his company the rare and short times we do get to share. I told him about my tumblr and how I keep all ya’ll posted on my dumb shit. Maybe he’ll remember about this, read it and shoot me a text which will read something like, “Ay foo. Nice post. No seas mamon guey.”
WAX at the Dragonfly last night.
Last night was an awesome night filled with rad music. Dead To Me was insanely good. One of those bands that despite the venue being super empty or super packed, you’re gonna get an amazing performance and they’ll give it their all no matter what. They’re doing it for all the right reasons. I bought a shirt, not because the shirt was a rad design but because I see it as supporting bands that matter. I know how merch sales can be huge to small punk bands.
This picture of my boss was my favorite. He’s a great performer and even though I’m not a huge WAX fan (and I say that cause i’m into them but I don’t know know their material by heart) when they hit the stage I feel like I am. The energy these dudes have for performing music all these years is awesome. They go for it and damn, their music I feel, is super underrated. Such great songs, such great dudes. Check out Loomis from Jackass fame keeping the beat in the back. Happy Birthday Johnny B.
