Alex and I went to see “The Beaches of Agnes” yesterday. In the movie she says that if we were to look inside people, we’d see lanscapes, and that if we were to see inside her, there’d be beaches. She manages to put together an autobiographical documentary, and narrate, withought sounding or appearing to be self indulgent. She was neutral, even stoic in the way she told her story. How awesome that she got to tell people her life, document it, put it on film, and all the way making creative and intriguing to watch. She was always the filmaker behind the camera. Now the spotlight was on her. Interesting lives happen behind the scenes.
