Los Bukis - Yo Te Necesito

I’ve repeated numerous times how if I could join any band, it’d be Sly and the Family Stone. But at the moment, i’m putting that aside and want to be the guitarist in this band. Shit, i’ll be the coked up tamborine man too. It don’t matter. These were the great old school TV performances and not this lip synched shit they put on Sabado Gigante these days. Me and my lady came across a radio station that plays these types of jams and needless to say i’m gonna make sure it’s one of my presets now. All this kind of music I used to dread my mom playing in the car or at home is coming full circle and grabbing my attention now. My dad always told me about these types of jams, “Un dia vas a entender que significa las letras de estas canciones.” (Once day you’ll understand what the words to these songs mean). Pops was right. And even so, it means so much more. Aside from me giving these songs my own meanings they also remind me of younger days and when they’d sing these songs (him and my mom) and get into them. I’m pretty sure my love for music stems from the passion they shared for the music of their time. It makes my love for these songs that much better. Play this song for your mom, aver si no se ponen a chillar.
